Personal Testimony and Gospel Presentation
My name is Anthony “Lynn” Myers. I am from “Elkin” in the state of North Carolina in the USA. I live at the foot of the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountain range.
Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I am privileged and excited to be called by the Lord to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ among you. I want to tell you how God can change your life, forgive you and release you from sin and guilt.
I accepted Christ at a young age. Therefore, thank God, I have known Him as my savior for most of my life. I got away from God during a 2 to 3-year period while serving in the military. I praise God that He called me back to Him and provided me with exactly the people and churches I needed to make the necessary changes in my life. He wanted me to walk with Him.
I came to realize that I was lost, and later on, that I was backslidden, in the same way. Through the precious ministry of the Holy Spirit of the living God. In both instances, God called me in a strong way and gave me the grace to respond to His voice.
John 3:16. breaks naturally into 4 parts:
- “For God so loved the world,”
God’s passion is his love for the people of this world, for you and me. - “that he gave his only begotten son,”
God’s loves us so much that he gave his only son as a gift (present) to us. - “that whosoever believeth in him should not perish,”
God’s proposal is that we believe that His Son died in our place, paying for our sins, dying for them so we don’t have to. - “but have everlasting life.”
God’s promise is that if we believe on His Son, we will have everlasting life.
I became a Christian because of God’s great love for me. He offered His son Jesus to pay for my sins and chose to call me into His family. He also gave me the grace to accept His call. Now, I have the assurance that I will live with Him forever.
Perhaps you have accepted Christ in the past but have been deceived and beaten down by the world around you and your walk with Christ has suffered. If that is the case, Christ is calling you back to Him, right now. You too can restart your life in Christ. Don’t hesitate. God loves you and gave us the illustration of the “Prodigal Son” in the Scriptures (Luke 15:11-32) to show you that He will receive you back into His kingdom, forgive all your sins and cleanse you from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9).
God loves you the same as He loves me. Whether you have never known Him or have been beaten down by the troubles of life, God’s Gospel in the person of Jesus Christ is for both the lost and the hurting.
His love and deliverance eagerly awaits you. You can accept God’s love by receiving Jesus Christ as your personal savior. Won’t you please look through the following and say the prayer you’ll find at the end with me:

“Knowing Where You’re Going”

Heaven… No doubt you have thought about it. Certainly you are interested in it. But, do you know that you are going there?
Friend, “Have you reached that place in your spiritual life where you have the assurance that you are going to heaven?”
Let’s take some time to make sure we are going to heaven. There’s only one place to look for the answer. God’s word. The Bible gives us that answer.
In John 3:3 we read, “Jesus answered him, Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God.”
Who said that? Jesus did. To whom was he speaking? Nicodemus, a sincere and religious man. Why did he say all must be born again? Because every man has sinned — “all have sinned” (Romans 3: 23) — and needs a spiritual birth.
ONE WAY
Did you notice that Jesus said there was only one way to heaven? Jesus repeated it in John 3:7, “You must be born again.” Now we have discovered something very important. The only way you and I can go to heaven is by being “born again” or, in other words, have a spiritual birth.
SALVATION
Let me share with you 4 things you must do to obtain this spiritual birth and know that you are going to heaven.
Step number 1:
YOU MUST REPENT
Acts 3:19 shows us that we must do first. “Repent and turn to God.” The word “repent” means to be sorry for the sins you have committed in the past. And you must be sorry enough to turn around or change.
Step number 2:
YOU MUST BELIEVE
“For God so loved the world, He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” (John 3:16) To know we are going to heaven, we must believe that Jesus is the Son of God and that He died to forgive us all our sins.
Step number 3:
YOU MUST CONFESS YOUR SINS.
“If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us of our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” (1 John 1:9) We must confess our sins to Jesus to receive forgiveness. And we must admit that we are to blame for our sins.
Step number 4:
YOU MUST RECEIVE CHRIST
“But as many as received Him, to them gave He power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His name.” (John 1:12) the key word is “receive”. Repenting, believing and confessing are necessary, but not enough. There is a difference between believing in and receiving Jesus; we must receive Him.
Friend, you may right now reach out by faith and receive Christ as your Savior. Jesus said, “Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if any man hear my voice and open the door, I will come in to him…” (Revelation 3:20) You can receive Christ right now and know you are on your way to heaven by sincerely praying…
“Lord Jesus, I know I have sinned and am sorry. I truly repent of (turn away from) my sins and ask You to forgive me. I believe You died for my sins. I confess my sins to You and just now open my heart and receive You into my life as my personal Savior. Thank You for answering my prayer. Amen.”
Did you sincerely ask Christ to come into your life? According to His promise in Revelation 3:20, where is Christ right now? He is living in your heart! Tell others that you have accepted Christ as your Lord and Savior. I encourage you to become involved with a local body of believers. God loves us one through the other. You need them and they need you.
If you sincerely prayed this prayer, I want to acknowledge your presence in the body of Christ as a Brother or Sister to me. God bless you as you enter a new life of faith, love and the deliverance that comes only through the blood and in the name of Jesus Christ.
In Christ’s Name,
Lynn
